What kind of products do you use specifically for natural hair and dreadlocks. I am allergic to most over the counter products, mainly shampoos. Do you use anything natural?
========================
First off, Real authentic Black African Soap known for its healing prowess and curing ingredients is not black ... Its brownish with hints of elements of natures in it. 100% Black soap (alata samina, not dudu osun), is the most important element that I use to cultivate the health of natural hair. I exclusively use this as a locking agent along with other kosher or organically certified products to make any hair type conducive for backcombing, twisting or adding weave for bornu locs. For dreadlocks, I use black soap to make the hair kink up and thick, especially if the patron has had a perm or uses a lot of conditioner. Conditioner tends to make hair too silky for the locking process to commence. For Loc Extensions, black soap is great to use to avoid hair extension slippage. When shampooing, the bornu locs can slide out when using products that contain slick emollients. This will defeat the purpose of getting the style in the first place. For the skin, when used in conjunction with bornu butter and eating the proper foods as medicine for the body, black soap esteems the skin to relieve exczema, psoriasis, dermatitis and seborrhea.
Warning! : this is not a product you can find in a beauty supply store or aisle in just any commercial market. nor should it contain any dyes to make it look black or perfumes. results vary depending on where you get your black soap. Real black soap is pure raw & organic made with water, vegetable lye, cocoa pod ashes, plantain peelskin powder, coconut, palm oil, orange fiber, natural glycerine.
