I started my locks in May. The stylist performed interlocking on my hair because she stated that my hair was too straight even though I havent had a perm in 3 years. I am dissatified with her service. My locks are starting to loosen in the middle and is fuzzy. my locks do not even look as good as white dreads/dread perms that you have posted. can I come in for a consulation. I do not want to start over. Is there anyway to thicken out the locks I have now

Greetings Shalonda,
I try not to demonize interlocking, as it is a very popular service for those wanting designer dreads without going thru the transitional stages accustomed to growing out into Natural dreadlocks. Interlocking is a modality like thai, reiki or shiatsu is to massage. By now, most people who have experienced interlocking as a means of locking the hair are not particularly satisfied as it does not allow the hair to achieve the thickness as with natural dreads.
Ignorance breeds deception and it sounds as if you have been given the false idea that the only way to lock your hair is with that method. First fruits knowledge for any loctician is overstanding that dreadlocks are lifestyle conducive for all hairtypes. May I suggest coming in for a consultation so that i can access the situation and we can take it from there.
